Ogden Valley City encompasses over 63 square miles of Ogden Valley. When we incorporated in January 2026 we “inherited” over 100 miles of public roads, nine miles of public trails, and multiple sanitary sewer systems from Weber County. The city is responsible for their management, maintenance and repair. These roads and trails include numerous signs, bridges and storm drainage systems.

Ogden Valley has over 80 private irrigation, drinking water and wastewater companies as well as numerous homeowner associations and public utilities that provide essential services to its residents, farmers and businesses. While Ogden Valley City is not responsible for the operations of any of these entities, it works closely with them to facilitate the general health, safety and welfare of all residents.

Ogden Valley City has contracted with the Weber County Roads Department to provide all roads services for all the Ogden Valley City owned roads. These include all road maintenance and repair, including snowplowing, potholes, signage, storm drains, and scheduled maintenance. There was no disruption of level of service in the transition from County to City owned roads.
Residents should contact the Weber County Roads Department to report on potholes and related issues for repair, as well as any other questions and concerns.

Road Maintenance Plan 2026 2029
 
On July 21, 2026, the Ogden Valley City Council voted to defer approximately $682,000 in major road maintenance projects from summer 2026 to summer 2027 as part of its Fiscal Year 2027 budget. The decision was made after determining that available road funding would not support both routine maintenance and major pavement preservation projects during the current fiscal year (FY) 2027.

As a result, asphalt overlay projects on nearly two miles of heavily deteriorated roads will be postponed until 2027. The deferred projects include sections of 3350 North, 1450 North, 1275 North, 1100 South, Innsbruck Drive, and 5950 North.  Chip sealing will also be delayed to 2027.
 
The City Council reduced the FY27 roads budget from $2,160,425 to $1,478,468, adopting what officials described as a “minimum necessary” budget focused on public safety and essential services. Planned road spending for the coming year includes $914,000 for routine road maintenance and repairs, $500,000 for snow removal, $35,000 for pothole patching on the deferred roads, $14,000 for pavement striping near schools and intersections, and $15,000 for weed removal.

Ogden Valley City owns and maintains the nine-mile long Pineview Loop Pathway. The Pathway is a safe, accessible corridor for non-motorized transportation and recreation, connecting multiple areas around Pineview Reservoir and Ogden Valley. Trails on private lands, the US Forest Service, Weber County’s North Fork Park, and in the Middle Fork Wildlife Management area are not owned or maintained by Ogden Valley City.

Trails Maintenance and Issues: Weber County Property Management maintains the paved Pineview Loop Pathway for Ogden Valley City.  Eden Valley Trails, through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOU), provides support for the Pineview Loop Pathway as well.

Ogden Valley City has contracted with WM (formerly known as Waste Management) to continue the same residential trash collection service as was provided through Weber County. Existing customers can check the status of their account at www.wm.com. New customers can create an account and start service at www.wm.com or by calling WM Customer Service at (888) 796-9696 during regular business hours.

Ogden Valley City does not own, maintain or provide any drinking (culinary) water system or service. All of the systems in Ogden Valley are independently owned and operated.
