FISCAL YEAR 2027 BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING
AND
TRUTH-IN-TAXATION INTERIM BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Ogden Valley City Council will hold two public hearings of the City Council on June 16, 2026, beginning at 5:30 PM, at Huntsville Town Hall, Council Chambers, 7474 East 200 South, Huntsville, Utah. The City Council will hold two public hearings, described in Part I and Part II below, held consecutively: the Part I public hearing on the Fiscal Year 2027 Budget will begin at 5:30 PM, and the Part II public hearing on the Truth-in-Taxation Interim Budget (proposed property tax levy subject to Truth-in-Taxation) will begin at or after 6:00 PM. Notice of these public hearings complies with the Utah Open and Public Meetings Act, Utah Code Title 52, Chapter 4.
PART I – PUBLIC HEARING
Fiscal Year 2027 Budget
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Ogden Valley City Council, acting as the municipal legislative body of Ogden Valley City pursuant to Utah Code § 10-3-401, will hold a Public Hearing on June 16, 2026, beginning at 5:30 PM, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, at Huntsville Town Hall, Council Chambers, 7474 East 200 South, Huntsville, Utah.
The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public input on, and to consider approval and adoption of, the Ogden Valley City Fiscal Year 2027 Budget, for the fiscal period commencing July 1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2027, pursuant to Utah Code §§ 10-6-113 and 10-6-114. All interested persons will be given a reasonable opportunity to be heard for or against the estimates of revenue and expenditures, or any item in the proposed budget.
The Part I hearing is a regular annual budget hearing held under Utah Code §§ 10-6-113 and 10-6-114. The budget described in this Part I does not itself propose to levy a property tax or to exceed any certified tax rate, and the Part I hearing is not a Truth-in-Taxation hearing under Utah Code § 59-2-919. Accordingly, the requirement that a Truth-in-Taxation hearing begin at or after 6:00 p.m. does not apply to the Part I hearing.
Description of Fiscal Year 2027 Budget
The Ogden Valley City Council proposes to adopt the budget for Fiscal Year 2027, covering the fiscal period July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.

PART II – PUBLIC HEARING
Truth-in-Taxation Interim Budget for Fiscal Year 2027 – Proposed Property Tax Levy Subject to Truth-in-Taxation
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that, immediately following the close of the public hearing described in Part I above, but no earlier than 6:00 PM, the Ogden Valley City Council, acting as the municipal legislative body of Ogden Valley City pursuant to Utah Code § 10-3-401, will hold a public hearing on June 16, 2026, beginning at or after 6:00 PM, at Huntsville Town Hall, Council Chambers, 7474 East 200 South, Huntsville, Utah.
The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public input on, and to consider the adoption of, a Truth-in-Taxation Interim Budget for Fiscal Year 2027 pursuant to Utah Code § 10-6-111. The Interim Budget contemplates the levy of a property tax by Ogden Valley City for the 2026 tax year, included in the Fiscal Year 2027 budget, the adoption of which is governed by the Truth-in-Taxation requirements of Utah Code §§ 59-2-919 through 59-2-924.
This Interim Budget, and Ogden Valley City’s levy of a property tax and participation in the 2026 Truth-in-Taxation process, are subject to and contingent upon a legal determination of whether Ogden Valley City is eligible to participate in Truth-in-Taxation for the 2026 tax year. If it is determined that Ogden Valley City may not participate in Truth-in-Taxation for the 2026 tax year, the City Council will proceed under the Fiscal Year 2027 Budget described in Part I above.
This public hearing notice is provided separately, as required, notwithstanding that the public hearing in Part II is held consecutively with the public hearing in Part I. Notice of this public hearing complies with the Utah Open and Public Meetings Act, Utah Code Title 52, Chapter 4.
All interested persons will be given a reasonable opportunity to be heard.
